Erika & Curtis – CA
Being diagnosed with infertility in your 20’s seems impossible to imagine. Even worse is enduring years of back to back failed fertility treatments as Erika and Curtis had.
After two years of trying to conceive, their doctor recommended IVF. In the process of preparing for IVF, the couple learned they were both carriers of Cystic Fibrosis, which changed the course of treatment to include PGD testing for the embryos.
In their grant application they shared, “It is possible to find purpose even in the absence of any explanation. Over the past few years we have struggled with the question of ‘why,’ but today we feel confident that we will find our purpose and are steps closer to holding our babies!”
After several unsuccessful attempts, Erika is currently pregnant and due on December 1, 2019.
