Jenny and Casey met at a campground in southern Minnesota in 1997 when they were 14 years old.

Living about an hour away from each other, they kept in touch by writing letters back and forth and racking up their parent’s long distance phone bills. They dated for 10 years before getting married in 2007, recently celebrating their 11th wedding anniversary.

Shortly after getting married, they decided it was time to start a family and were excited to begin their journey together as parents.

Sadly after years of trying to conceive, they underwent extensive testing and found out that Jenny’s tubes were completely sealed and the only hope for them was IVF.

Although this was hard news to take, they still had hope that a family was a possibility. Eventually, after some time passed, and saving what they could, they went through testing again to make sure they were still good candidates for IVF. During that time they had two extreme family tragedies which exhausted their savings, making the possibility of having a child far out of reach.
