It is difficult to be in your 20’s and have endured as many infertility-related disappointments as Kristi and Juan. After four difficult years of attempts at conception, the couple became pregnant, only to miscarry.

This was followed by another series of procedures, again resulting in pregnancy but then miscarriage. With medical conditions such as PCOS and ovarian cysts complicating the issue, the couple was left devastated, heartbroken, and devoid of funds to continue.

“We have used our savings trying to conceive, and we feel that our dream is so close. With the help of a grant, we know we can find happiness and joy in creating a precious little one together,” wrote Kristi. 

After many attempts, Kristi and Juan welcomed Damon on November 18, 2016.
