Nine months after their wedding, Austin was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Four years later and now in remission, Austin enjoys an active life with Melissa, including scuba diving, running, and biking.

However, in addition to killing the cancer, Austin’s chemo and radiation created the necessity for IVF in order for the couple to conceive.

“While those around us welcome children into their lives, we began to feel punished and somehow unworthy of such a blessing. Overcoming cancer gave us a new lease on life and elevated the importance of family, which is why discovering the long-term impact of Austin’s cancer treatment was so devastating.

Baby Quest has given us renewed hope and reminded us that we are not alone in this struggle. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Baby Quest for helping to give us a shot at starting a family of our own.”

The couple welcomed twins, William and Amelia, on Jan. 12, 2016.
