Our Recipients

Sharon & Makelyia met in 2006 and had a beautiful baby boy in 2008.

In 2011, Makelyia was a passenger in a horrific car accident where he sustained a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed.

Three years after his accident, Sharon and Makelyia began their journey to conceive. After a few years with no success and a failed ivf cycle in 2016, the couple received an encouraging second opinion from Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine.

Sharon & Makelyia are on their way to starting their 2nd IVF cycle with the help of the fertility clinic and a grant from Baby Quest.

The couple will welcome a girl in late April 2018.
